Overview
Solar Blessings is a handcrafted wellness brand offering kombucha, Sobolo, and Hand Salve-ation. RocIT created a complete ecommerce and business operations platform that helps the company educate customers, sell products, manage inventory, fulfill orders, publish content, and be completely editable without writing any code.
A Storefront Built Around the Products
The public website combines natural brand storytelling with a responsive ecommerce experience. Customers can explore the Solar Blessings story, browse active products, read educational articles, view testimonials, and contact the business.
Every product receives a dynamic page with photography, benefits, production details, related articles, testimonials, and purchasing options. Products can have multiple flavors or types, each with different sizes, prices, weights, and inventory levels.
Inventory-Aware Shopping
Customers can choose a product type, size, and quantity while seeing whether each option is available, low in stock, or sold out.
The persistent shopping cart temporarily reserves selected inventory, helping prevent limited products from being sold to multiple customers at the same time. Availability refreshes throughout the shopping experience and is verified again before checkout.
Checkout supports configurable local pickup, local delivery, and shipping methods. Geoapify provides address suggestions, while Stripe handles secure payment processing.
Content and Community
Solar Blessings can publish educational articles using a built-in Markdown blog system. Posts can be associated with individual products, featured on the homepage, and displayed alongside relevant product information.
Customers can also submit testimonials and leave comments on blog posts. These submissions enter a moderation queue so the business can approve, feature, reject, or remove content before it appears publicly.
Administrator Dashboard
The custom administrator portal brings everyday business operations into one place.
The dashboard provides an immediate overview of revenue, order volume, average order value, fulfillment progress, shipping methods, inventory, and customer submissions awaiting review. Reports can be filtered by time period and exported as CSV files.
Administrators can manage:
- Products, types, sizes, prices, images, weights, and inventory
- Low-stock thresholds and product availability
- Orders, fulfillment status, tracking, delivery windows, and internal notes
- Blog posts, featured content, comments, and testimonials
- Shipping rates, local delivery ZIP codes, and fulfillment methods
- Homepage, About page, navigation, footer, and public page copy
- Business information, customer-facing messages, and uploaded media
Product and content changes are reflected on the public website without requiring a new page or code update.
Product and Order Management
The product editor allows Solar Blessings to build detailed product pages while managing the underlying catalog. New products automatically become available to the storefront, navigation, blog editor, and testimonial system when published.
The order workspace organizes purchases into queues for orders needing attention, orders in progress, delivery and shipping, and completed history. Staff can search across customers, products, addresses, and order numbers before updating fulfillment details from a dedicated order page.
Owner and Staff Controls
The portal supports separate Owner and Staff roles. Staff members can handle daily product, order, publishing, and moderation work. Owners receive additional access to business settings, public website content, custom styling, shipping configuration, and user management.
Security includes hashed passwords, protected administrator routes, signed sessions, validated requests, and verified payment webhooks. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Solar Blessings.
Outcome
Solar Blessings received more than an online store. The finished platform connects the customer experience with the tools needed to run the business behind it.
Customers can learn about each product, see current availability, complete a purchase, and track their order. The business can manage its catalog, inventory, fulfillment, content, customer contributions, and reporting from one approachable dashboard.
The platform is designed to grow with additional products, product types, staff members, content, fulfillment methods, and order volume.
